Invitation
Join us for the 13th NSW Rural Mental Health Conference in the Hunter Valley and help us “uncork” rural mental health. This year’s conference will focus on promotion, early intervention and recovery.
The venue will be Cypress Lakes Resort, from
Wednesday the 26th of November to Friday 28th of
November.
Delegates will enjoy informative discussions with local,
national and international speakers to examine issues in
rural mental health.
Following the conference, delegates may wish to stay and
play in the Hunter Valley with wine tours, world famous
golf courses, hot air ballooning and wonderful scenery.
This is the time of year when the vines are at their
best!
The Conference is an initiative of the NSW Department of Health's Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Office and the Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health.
The theme for the 2008 Conference is "Uncorking Rural Mental Health"

Who Should Attend
The Conference attracts between 180 - 240 delegates from a wide range of backgrounds including:

Previous conferences have been held in Orange (2006), Tweed Heads (2005) and Armidale (2004).
The Conference will include a trade display section and a social program which provide participants the opportunity to network with colleagues and develop professional contacts.
The 2008 conference will provides a forum to showcase the new, report on the old, review challenges and examine initiatives designed to improve information delivery and update practices in rural Australia.
