Getting There
Self Drive from Sydney Route 1: Over Sydney Harbour Bridge & follow the
Pacific Hwy towards Hornsby. Before Hornsby (at Wahroonga) take National
Highway 1 (F3 Freeway) north towards Newcastle. After 100kms (1hour), exit
the National Hwy 1 at the Cessnock/Hunter Valley Vineyards exit sign. Follow
the signs to Cessnock/Vineyards.
Route 2: Tourist Route T33 – Turn off National Hwy 1 (F3 Freeway) at Peats
Ridge. This route will take you through scenic mountains & into Wine Country
at the historic town of Wollombi.
By Bus: Experience the freedom of travelling by coach. Several of our tour
operators pick up & deliver from Sydney. Rover Coaches runs a daily shuttle
service from the Sydney CBD.
By Train: Enjoy viewing the beautiful landscapes on the way to Wine Country
through the window of a train. Stations are at Maitland, Newcastle or
Morisset. For a timetable call 131 5000. Connecting buses from Maitland and
Newcastle are available as are car hire services.
By Plane: Cessnock Airport – by private charter or by Sydney Seaplanes
Newcastle Airport – daily flights from Melbourne & Brisbane by Virgin Blue &
Jetstar. Qantaslink flies daily from Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne &
Gold Coast.
